The Plains Taproom

Located in downtown Auburn, The Plains Taproom is Auburn’s first self pour restaurant. Each tap has a touch screen with details about the beverage including the description, alcohol content, and price per ounce once it is activated via RFID card. The Taproom features 40 taps that serves a selection of craft beer, cider, wine, seltzer and wine cocktails along with a full menu of delicious food including sliders, loaded fries and appetizers.

Meet The Team

Meet our team of talented professionals.

Dion is an Opelika native and has lived in Auburn the past 19 years with his wife Shalin, daughter Mackenzie and son Declan. He’s an avid homebrewer, craft beer enthusiast and cicerone certified beer server.

Favorite Style: India Pale Ale

 

Dion Peoples

Founder/Owner

Justin is a proud Auburn alum and has lived in Auburn for 14 years. He is married to his high school sweetheart and they have two beautiful daughters together. Justin enjoys hanging out with friends and family, taking vacations, and drinking craft beer.

Favorite Beer Style: Octoberfest

 

Justin Alexander

Founder/Owner

Scott is a native of Mobile and served in the US Coast Guard for 28 years. He and his wife move to Auburn in 2017 and both are passionate about connecting with the local community. He is a homebrewer and also owns/operates a homebrew shop and taproom in downtown Opelika.

Favorite Style: IPA…but usually whatever beer is in his hand

Founder/Owner

Don Doyle Owner/Founder of popKitchenBRANDS, Executive chef and brand design manager with over 20 years of experience in the restaurant and design industries. Don is a graduate of industrial design from Auburn University, class of 2004. Don has a passion for serving others and coming up with creative new ways to serve the community.
